MAIMI'S BRAIN Vol. 8

MAIMI'S BRAIN Vo,8

It's been so long that I've forgotten when I last updated.

Although I've watched many movies, I haven't featured them on MAIMI'S BRAIN. It's been since February! That means I haven't updated for six months, half a year. (Oh my goodness)

So, whether you know it or not, I took a screenshot of my Filmarks activity.

For Alice and Harry Potter, I had watched them two or three times already but forgot to mark them as watched, so I did that.

I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, so I recently re-purchased all the books. Next, since I'm always paying to stream them, I'm planning to buy the DVDs because it's probably cheaper (I just realized this).

Anyway, I've strayed from the main topic.

What I want to introduce today is this:

The Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert!

I watched this concert (musical) after having previously seen the original "Les Misérables" (movie).

I've always loved musicals, and I remember my soul trembling when I saw "The Phantom of the Opera" in New York. Although I had seen "Les Misérables" before, I didn't remember the plot perfectly, but I think even someone completely new to it could start with this concert.

You get a strong sense of the era, and how things were back then, powerfully conveyed through the passionate sound and powerful acting in the songs. (My eyes were wide open the whole time.)

I often watch things by comparing them to "my current self." All the complex emotions eventually become personal and are absorbed.

Here's what I always wonder: how much feedback can I give without giving away the plot? (lol) (I want to avoid spoilers for those who haven't seen it.) It's so difficult. I think the reasons I love musicals are the "intensity," "moment," "songs," and "fantasy." Probably.

Musicals, therefore, are the highest form of entertainment that showcases human brilliance, something only humans can achieve.

I think most people have heard "Dream on Dream" from "Les Misérables." Hearing that song deeply moved me.

I highly recommend watching it with the best possible sound and as loudly as you can.
