It's been a period of intense creation and filming.
I'm so incredibly excited to finally release the 2022 AW COLLECTION "Liberated Area"!
Has everyone seen it yet?
This time, the theme of my creation was to invite everyone to a party being held by the Kobinai tribe, who inhabit the "Liberated Area." I plan to talk about it on a podcast soon, but again, this year, so many things have happened. The world and Japan have faced various challenges, and I think our hearts have been swayed and unknowingly tired. There have been many times when we felt sad, surprised, exasperated, or even thought, "who cares?"
Of course, this isn't limited to this year; various events have been happening even before this, and even further back.
But recently, I've really been feeling that things are "strange" because far too many things are happening compared to before.
Because of this, we might give up somewhere, or become disheartened somewhere. We might shrivel up somewhere.
I thought such things shouldn't happen.
Because humans,
I believe we should always be evolving and shouldn't stop evolving. When I thought about what evolution is,
I think it's about repeating things like "thinking," "learning," "playing," "worrying," "moving forward," "challenging," and "failing," and through that, we evolve. So, I thought that thoroughly enjoying this process might also be part of evolution. If we don't challenge ourselves, we won't fail, and if we don't challenge or fail, evolution won't come.
If we don't wonder and worry, there will be no answers, and if we don't even wonder, we won't "think."
If we don't play, there will be no new discoveries, and if we're not enjoying ourselves, we can't make others enjoy themselves. First, we have to enjoy ourselves for good things to be born.
As for learning, beyond thinking, we might research things we don't understand, or study if we don't know. Beyond learning, there's practice again, and beyond learning, new questions arise.
I thought that "evolution" exists there.
If we stop evolving, it becomes "stagnation."
Well, that's not good, is it!!!
I thought.
So I thought, "I must 'liberate my mind'!" "Liberation of the mind" = I named the place where one can liberate their mind the "Liberated Area" I named it as a place to activate a shriveled-up or stagnant brain!
To express that Liberated Area, I created the shooting set this time.
The place where the Kobinai tribe inhabits.
And then, I decided to hold an exhibition "SOLO EXHIBITION" in November, linked to this photoshoot!
So much happening, lol.
This time, I had a very strong feeling that I "wanted to convey" something. With so many things happening this year, many "feelings" overlapped, and I wanted to hold an exhibition.
Well, I've always said I wanted to do exhibitions and such once the store closed, so I'm really excited that I can finally do it!
The clothes were created with the image of what the Kobinai tribe usually wears, or clothes they wear when attending a party in the "Liberated Area," or uniforms for events held in the Liberated Area.
"Liberated Zone" Arc!
