KOBINAI's new chapter will begin on Saturday, June 21st.
Under the message, "Creativity resides in all of us," we are launching the KOBINAI X (Kakeru) project.
KOBINAI X (Kakeru) Project
Meaning "KOBINAI x You," this project allows you to choose an item to create, then design an original piece of clothing with KOBINAI's graphics and motifs, collaborating on colors and placement.
Check out the link in the image below for items you can create and graphics & motifs you can use!
✴︎✴︎✴︎Thoughts behind the project✴︎✴︎✴︎
As we become adults, we get caught up in busyness and daily tasks, and we have fewer opportunities to think for ourselves, give shape to our ideas, and express them.
Each individual has their own personality and creativity, but I felt that they were losing the opportunity to unleash it.
Therefore, we decided to launch the project "KOBINAI X" with the message, "Creativity resides in all of us."
Until now, KOBINAI has conveyed messages by translating paintings into clothing. With KOBINAI X, each individual can experience translating KOBINAI's message art onto clothing by choosing their favorite motifs, colors, and placements.
You can have a clothing-making experience where KOBINAI's message and everyone's creativity come together to complete one work (clothing).
It's not just something that can be completed on your phone; you can create your own special piece of clothing through communication.
Through this experience, I would be truly happy if it leads to new discoveries about yourself or a catalyst for starting something new.
In this day and age, everything is easily acquired and discarded, but I want our clothes to be for "a lifetime," not "a moment."
I want the creations made with KOBINAI X to be a lasting record of "my feelings at that time," cherished forever.
It would be interesting to recall memories every time you see it, relive emotions just by wearing it, or even pass it down to your children.
It takes about 45 days for delivery, but we want you to enjoy the waiting time and the excitement leading up to receiving your item as part of the complete KOBINAI X experience.
Thinking and creating.
It's incredibly fun.

This year, KOBINAI celebrates its 13th anniversary on July 1st. This is all thanks to everyone, and I truly feel that we have walked this path together.
There's something I've cherished consistently for 13 years.
It's about the people who wear KOBINAI clothes, who, through those clothes, embrace a mindset that makes them stronger, kinder, or happier—always feeling like they have an "ally."
And by wearing KOBINAI and carrying that mindset out into the world, I sincerely hope that the world becomes even slightly brighter and a place where people can live "as themselves." I wish for such a cycle to be born.
The biggest reason we reopened the store this time was to fully launch this project.
I want it to be a place not just for displaying and "selling" products, but for co-creating a piece of clothing through face-to-face conversations. By talking directly and understanding their background and feelings, we can create a "cherished piece" unique to each person. I believe this is the form KOBINAI aims for now.
From an era of making, displaying, and selling out, to an era of facing each individual and imbuing clothes with their thoughts.
We intend to move forward with this new project as our core.
