My Me POPUP - from India

My Me POPUP-from india
The dive date has passed, but
Thank you for coming to My Me POPUP-from india! ⁂
( *´艸`)

In this busy world, have we lost sight of what is truly important?

What is the difference between connecting through a screen and real connections?

In reality, humans are comrades. We make eye contact, smile, and greet each other.
We have trivial conversations and connect with each other.
We cannot live alone.
We are supported by the warmth and connections between people.
At the POPUP,
we asked visitors to write down their thoughts on "What is a human being?!" and posted them.
Love, a mass of desires, a circle, human, foolish creature... etc.
The opinions were split half and half between negative and positive.
This time, MAIMI expressed her personal feelings from her trip to India through KOBINAI's second label, My Me.
It was expressed through visuals, a BOOK (text), and an exhibition, as clothes alone could not convey everything.
The ZINE was also entirely produced by MAIMI, including the composition and text, along with photographs she took.
This time, ✳we challenged ourselves to create clothing using old saris purchased through fair trade. Furthermore, to express complex emotions and thoughts, we also created items that combined leftover fabric and printed fabric from KOBINAI's clothing production with old saris.
Each piece made from old saris is, of course, unique.
They are hand-knitted.
We have two types: skirts and bags, and they are also used as accents on hats.
While there's a psychedelic aspect, kindness and femininity also emerge.
I hope you can feel the duality of India through this collection ⁂
