Designer MAIMI said that when she was a "gyaru" (a type of Japanese fashion subculture), she spent every summer in a "jinbei" (a traditional Japanese casual garment). The jinbei was a "garment" that made her feel more energetic every day she wore it. She said it was an "ultra-awesome item." She would ride the train in her jinbei, head to Shibuya, and hang out with friends. This "Buchiage Matsuri ONE PIECE" was born from the desire to create something exciting that could make every day hyped, even now.

How can we create a festive feeling that can be worn every day? When we thought about that, we thought it would be great if it could be slipped on easily like a dress. So, we designed it to be worn easily like a dress, and completed the style by simply tightening the strings at the side waist.
