What I felt on this trip was a complex intertwining of various emotions: not just love, but also my connection to nature, shock, helplessness, and pain.

There were moments when I felt the knife-like pain stemming from the disparity between rich and poor.

With these feelings in mind, I challenged myself to create clothing using old saris purchased through fair trade. Designer MAIMI created patterns inspired by the streets of India, printed them on fabric, and combined them with old saris to create these items.

This piece is one of them.

I hope this collection makes you feel various connections.

It may be a small activity, but I want to spread what I feel and know as much as possible. If we can share and remember important things together, I believe that our “thoughts” and activities will spread even further.

There are many things in the world that we do not know, and many worlds that we do not know. Not only in the world, but also in Japan.
But we have only one wish. World peace and the elimination of the gap between the rich and the poor.
The world is not equal. That is why we need to think. We need to act.
