What I felt on this trip was a complex intertwining of various emotions: not just love, but also my connection to nature, shock, helplessness, and pain.

There were moments when I felt the knife-like pain stemming from the disparity between rich and poor.

With these feelings in mind, I challenged myself to create clothing using old saris purchased through ✳fair trade. Designer MAIMI created patterns inspired by the streets of India, printed them on fabric, and combined them with old saris to create these items.

This piece is one of them.

I hope this collection makes you feel various connections.

And I hope it provides an opportunity to learn about the background of the products and the stories of the producers.
It may be a small endeavor, but I want to spread what I've felt and learned, even if just a little. And if we can all share and remember important things together, I believe that our "feelings" and "activities" will spread even further.

There is so much we don't know about the world, and so many worlds we don't know. This isn't just true globally, but also within Japan.
But we have only one wish: world peace and the elimination of the rich-poor gap.
The world is not equal. That is precisely why we need to think. We need to act.

I would be happy if you feel various connections through this collection.
